The Verdanium MED produces ultra-pure water of different types for a range of specific laboratory and medical applications:
Ultra-pure water Type I
Type 1 ultra-pure water is water that has undergone an elaborate treatment process to meet the highest standards of purity. Water of this purity grade is required for various
sophisticated laboratory applications.
General applications:

- Preparation of solutions
- Spectrophotometry
- Particle analysis
Quality standards:
Conductivity - 0.055 µS/cm
TOC - < 2 ppb
Microorganisms - < 1 CFU/1000 ml
Endotoxins - < 0,001 EU/ml
Ultra-pure water Type II
Type 2 ultra-pure water is the standard for general laboratory applications. It is an essential ingredient in the production of chemical reagents and in applications that require
uniform purity.
General applications:
- General chemistry
- Supply of ultra-pure water systems type 1
- Nitrogen-Phosphorus analyzers, pH solutions
- Biochemistry

Conductivity - < 2 µS/cm
TOC - < 50 ppb
Mikroorganisms - < 1 CFU/1000 ml

Ultra-pure water Type III
Type 3 ultra-pure water is purified water suitable for less critical laboratory applications such as rinsing laboratory glassware, filling autoclaves, water baths and
disinfectors. It is also used in climatic and plant growth chambers and as a water supply for Type 1 ultra-pure water systems. Type 3 ultra-pure water is also referred to as
primary pure water. During its production, around 99% of pollutants and germs are removed.
Quality standards:
Conductivity - < 20 µS/cm
TOC - < 200 ppb
Microorganisms - < 1 CFU/1000 ml
Endotoxins - n/a
The Verdanium MED is manufactured specifically for your projects and requirements for the production of ultra-pure water type 2 and type 1.
The typing is from type 3 to type 1, with ultra-pure water type 3 having the "lowest" and ultra-pure water type 1 having the "highest" degree of purity. The different types determine
the properties of the water in terms of the content of contaminants such as organic substances, ions, pyrogens and bacteria.

Verdanium MED – System design
Active Control unit (3HU)
The active control unit (ASE) is the heart of the Verdanium MED. The ASE controls and monitors all extensions and manages the entire water distribution system.
During development, we placed great emphasis on usability, service and the first-class quality of the components used.
Active pre-filter unit (2 HU)
In the active pre-filter unit (AVE), 2 x 2 VA-Standard filter heads are installed in series and parallel to each other.
This design makes the filter doubly redundant and also allows a combination of pre-filter inserts.
Active ultra-pure unit (3 HU)
The active ultra-pure water unit (ARE) is the actual and most important filtration stage of the Verdanium MED. Here, the diffusion principle is used to remove almost all dissolved and undissolved foreign substances in the water.
Push & Click-Filter change
Thanks to our sophisticated system, you can change the pre-filter inserts very quickly. The 2 HU drawer is pulled out of the rack via a rail, and the filters are folded down for changing. No tools are required for the filter change.

Post-filter unit (2HU)
The active post-filter unit (ANE) is used for post-filtration treatment. In the active post-filtration unit, 2 x 2 VA standard filter heads are installed in series and parallel to
each other. This design makes the filter doubly redundant and also enables a combination of the after-filter inserts.
Pure-water unit (3HU)
If you require ultra-pure water of the highest quality for sophisticated laboratory applications, we recommend using an additional active ultra-pure water unit (ARE). An
integrated pre-treatment unit ensures reliable analysis results. Alternatively, the ultra-pure water unit can also double the amount of water produced.
Tank unit (4HU)
The active tank unit (ATE) is a temporary storage tank for ultra-pure water already produced, with a net volume of approx. 9 litres. The ultra-pure water is stored in pressure tanks to ensure that it is not contaminated. Pre-rinsing times of the active ultra-pure water unit can be bridged in this way, or equipment that needs a prescribed amount of water within a specific time can be supplied.
